OWH Memorial Day Bloghop - Finishing Strong!
Operation Write Home, a charity that has supported heroes with handmade cards since 2007, will be closing later this year.  All cards need to be sent in by August 1st, so we're helping to get the word out!

The theme for this year's hop is red, white, and blue.  I've made two cards using this color scheme.
I made an Any Hero card with OWH sketch 184, papers from Authentique's Strong 8x8 pad, and a cute stamp from Paper Smooches Circle of Honor stamp set.  I added a bit of color to the image with Copics.

My second card is a modified OWH sketch.
This card uses OWH sketch 64, papers from Fancy Pants Down by the Shore, a sentiment stamp from Whimsy Stamps Guiding Light, Spellbinders circle dies, Memory Box Majestic Anchor die, and Stampin Up! Night of Navy ink (which is a lot darker blue than shows in the photo).

Thanks for visiting - love your comments!  To go back to the OWH website, just click on the banner at the top of my post.

OWH May Mid-Month Throwdown - His and Hers

For the OWH May Mid-Month Throwdown - His and Hers, I used the OWH Hero Arts set Baby Animals and Freshly Made Sketches sketch #178.  Background papers are from My Mind's Eye and the double dot for the bunnies is from BoBunny.  The stitched circle die is from My Favorite Things, backed by a Spellbinders circle.  The banner die is also from My Favorite Things.   To make the eye stand out better, I used a white gel pen.

These cards were fun to make and I think some bunnies in green, yellow, and purple BoBunny double dot are in my future!

OWH Our Daily Bread Designs May Challenge - Embossing

The Our Daily Bread Designs May Challenge is to make a card that features embossing.  I made this card for the challenge a few days ago and am now just posting it.  The sentiment is really appropriate for how I'm feeling right now since OWH is closing down on August 1st of this year.  But for now, our challenges and sketches are continuing on as is the wonderful support from Our Daily Bread Designs who will sponsor the postage of up to two large flat boxes of cards for our Heroes if we post 50 cards for the challenge.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!
