Really Missing You

Since I had a good reaction to the other baseball themed missing you card I made for our Memorial Day bloghop, I decided to make another baseball themed card from the same artist and collection.  The image is a pre-colored one from Leere Aldrich's collection Family Frenzy from PcCrafter and is no longer available from them.  Even though I have this image in line art as well, I went with the pre-colored version to save time.  I did, however, use the magic of Photoshop Elements to remove the coloring from the image's face and hands because I didn't like how pink it was.  I colored it in with Copics after printing.  I used OWH sketch 37 for the layout and a sentiment stamp from Paper Smooches.  The dp is from Me & My Big Ideas.

OWH Midweek Throwdown Challenge - Pink and Grey Cards

My card for Operation Write Home's Midweek Throwdown Challenge - Pink and Grey cards.  I used OWH sketch 217 for the layout, papers from My Mind's Eye Collectable, Hero Arts Lil' Hoot stamps, and My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags dies.  I colored the elephants with Copics and added some Glossy Accents to the eyes.

Since I didn't get to last week's Throwdown Challenge, I thought I'd give a nod to the feminine/masculine idea and also made a masculine card for this week's Throwdown Challenge. Same everything, just different colors.

Hope your day is going great.  Thanks for visiting my blog!

Operation Write Home 2014 Memorial Day Bloghop

Welcome to my blog!  I'm so pleased to be part of Operation Write Home's Memorial Day Bloghop for 2014.   If you would like to go back to the Stars & Stamps blog, simply click on the above banner and it will take you back to the post with the full list of bloggers participating in today's hop.

Let's get started!  I made four cards representing the four themes I make the most cards for.

OWH sketch 47, digi from Bugaboo Stamps colored with Copics, Hero Arts Valentine Sayings sentiment stamp, My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags dies, and star paper from Recollections.

OWH Sketch 53, digi from Leere Aldrich's collection Family Frenzy from PcCrafters (no longer available) colored with Copics, Paper Smooches Circle of Honor sentiment stamp, Lil' Inker Stitched Banner die, My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags die, and embossing folders:  Darice Stars, Sizzix Dots Large, and Cuttlebug Distressed Stripe.

OWH sketch 218, colored image from The Graphics Fairy, Hero Arts Find Joy sentiment stamp, My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags dies, and Colorbok star paper.

OWH Sketch 205, image stamp from Paper Smooches Circle of Honor, Paper Smooches Chit Chat sentiment stamp, Spellbinders circle dies, and Adornit-Carolee's Creations All American Collection star paper.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed seeing my cards!

Monday Madness

After seeing the latest OWH You Tube unboxing video of the Chatty Crafters' cards, I just had to try out my Taylored Expressions die that hasn't been used since I bought it months ago.  I used some We R Memory Keepers paper from their Feelin' Groovy 6x6 paper pad and Hero Arts fundraiser stamp set OWH Missing You.  I colored the bird with Copics and added Glossy Accents to the eyes.

Another Weekend Card

Continuing with more missing you cards with a masculine vibe, I made six of these using Freshly Made Sketches #104 and papers from Echo Park.  The sentiment stamp is from Jilly Bean Soup's Handwritten Sentiments and is stamped with Stampin' Up! Early Espresso ink.  The heart is from the back of one of the papers and is punched with a Spellbinder's heart die after I adhered the paper to some chipboard (from a Cuttlebug embossing folder package).

Weekend Card

Quick card from this weekend using Stampin' Up! sentiment stamp and Basic Grey papers with OWH sketch 211.  I also used some Stampin' Up! Cajun Craze ink for the sentiment.

Raeanna's Facebook Challenge - Wall Decor

Raeanna's Facebook Challenge to post our cards to Operation Write Home's wall motivated me to make this card today. It's a CASE of this card.  Papers are all from Basic Grey, the sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts, and the eagle is from Our Daily Bread Designs and colored with Copics.

Half a Box of Miss You

I've filled almost half my OWH box with love themed cards, so I need to make a bunch of miss you cards for the other half.  For this card (one of six), I've used another favorite sketch of mine from Splitcoast Stampers, SC416.  Papers are all from K&Company, the sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts, oval dies are from Lifestyle Crafts.

OWH Midweek Throwdown Challenge - Miss You Cards

The Midweek Throwdown Challenge at Operation Write Home's Stars & Stamps blog is Missing You. I used one of my favorite sketches - OWH sketch 176 - to make this card using We Are Memory Keepers MVP papers.  The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts on My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags dies.  To finish off the card, I added some Candi Dots.

Leap Frog

One of a set of six cards I made using a line art image from Gina Jane's collection Leap Frog from PcCrafter, colored with Copics.  Other supplies: striped, foiled cardstock from DCWV's The Great Vacation Stack, Cuttlebug embossing folder Hugs and Kisses, and Glossy Accents on the eyes and red button. I based my card on OWH sketch 74.

Cards in Envy Challenge - May Flowers

I just noticed that Cards in Envy is having a May Flowers challenge this month, so I'm entering this card into their challenge.  My card uses My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch 171.  Papers are from Echo Park's For The Record 2, Spellbinders heart die, and the sentiment stamp is from Technique Tuesday's Date Night.

I also made a masculine version:
Same sentiment stamp and Spellbinders heart die, papers are from Basic Grey's pb&j.

OWH Midweek Throwdown Challenge - Flowers

The Midweek Throwdown Challenge at Operation Write Home's Stars and Stamps blog is April Showers Bring May Flowers.  We're challenged to use flowers on our cards and I chose some floral paper from Echo Park's For the Record 2-Documented. It's double-sided, so I was able to use both sides.  The border die is from My Favorite Things as are the Fishtail Flags dies.  The sentiment stamp is from my stash since I didn't save the packaging, though I believe it is from Heidi Grace/Fiskars.  I also want to note that the cardstock is Bazzill Rain.

Hope your day is going great and thanks for visiting my blog.

UPDATED 5/12/2014
Just wanted to post another version of the above card using Echo Park's For the Record 2-Tailored 6x6 paper pad.

Our Daily Bread Designs May Challenge - Embossing

Our Daily Bread Designs' May Challenge is embossing, either wet or dry.  I chose to use dry embossing for this card.  I purchased the Reminisce Stripestock-Dave cardstock over a year ago when it was on clearance at my LSS.  I've wanted to make this card ever since, however, I could never get my stripes embossing folder to stop cutting my paper into pieces.  I finally found a folder that will protect my paper and give me a nice striped embossed pattern.  It's new, I believe, from Cuttlebug and it's called James' Set which means it came with other folders. (I've separated them so I don't know the others.)  I really like it because it's 5x7 so I can turn my paper any direction and still get a vertical stripe.  For the rest of the card I used Lifestyle Crafts oval dies and a sentiment stamp from Verve's Thankful Blossoms.  The vanilla cardstock is from Recollections, dark brown is Bazzill Bitter Chocolate, and Crumb Cake from Stampin' Up!

I'm adding my card to the Rebel Challenge to post all 50 cards for the ODB May Challenge in one day. I hope we make it!

Rebel With a Cause Challenge

My card for Paula's Rebel with a Cause Challenge using a Whimsy Stamps digi colored with Copics, OWH sketch 31, and papers from Basic Grey Oliver and Bazzill raised dot.

Just a very quick posting while the hubby is on break from the internet with the XBox.

OWH Sketch 222 - Again

I couldn't resist turning this week's sketch on its side and using a digi from Dustin Pike's Doodle Dragon Studios which I colored with Copics.  I added some hugs and kisses with Cuttlebug's Love Language die plate and used the Echo Park Happy Days papers I've had in mind for this raccoon character. I will add some Glossy Accents to the eyes, but left them bare for the photo.  I will probably make 12 of these from the 12x12 sheets of coordinating papers.
