OWH Midweek Throwdown Color Challenge

The Midweek Throwdown Challenge at Operation Write Home is a Color Challenge.  We are to use green and blue and if we feel adventurous, we are to add orange plus a neutral.  I added the orange and used black as my neutral.

This is a CASE of a card I saw in Splitcoast Stampers Stampin' Up! Gallery here.

  • Splitcoast Stamper sketch 379
  • Stampin' Up! skater stamp and window punch
  • Impression Obsession sentiment stamp
  • Versifine Onyx Black ink
  • g.c.d paper (it had the gears and grid lines)
  • Ranger distress inks Mowed Lawn, Faded Jeans, and Spiced Marmalade mixed with Dried Marigold

  1. Awesome card. I like the more intense colors used in the background of your card. Gives it a great look.

  2. You really "rocked" this card! The colors so cool for a teenager boy.

  3. This is very cool! I like the way you used the tabs to add color and the eyelets are like the laces on the boys' tennis shoes. Really nice!

  4. Love how you inked the background - great effect!!!!

  5. I like the card for all the reasons above, but I think the blending is the best.

  6. I really like the distress ink background on this! Cool card.

  7. WOW! What a striking card- love it! THe use of the inks- very vibrant-and gives the perfect background for the stamp! TFS

  8. LOVE this background! What a fabulous card for a teen boy!
